Dehra
Dun is a picturesque town situated at the foothills of the Garhwal
Himalayas. The word “ Doon” means a valley which is formed by the SHIVALIK
range of mountains in the South and the Himalayas in the North. On the
Eastern and Western sides of Doon, the Ganges and Yamuna, two great Indian
rivers, majestically flow into the plains.
Dehra Dun is about 180 miles
North-East of New Delhi. Well connected by air, rail and road, it is
easily accessible from other parts of the country. Mussoorie, the Queen of
Hills, a renowned hill station, is about 10 miles North of the Campus.
Weather: The climate is salubrious throughout the year, with spells of hot and cold
weather. The summer is from mid April to June with the rainy session
lasting till September. The weather is delightful with the winter taking
over from November till February.
